Evidentiary requirements of ex-parte applications (Professional skills)

Guest speaker:  Talitha Fishburn, Barrister,  7 Wentworth Selborne Chambers

Talitha was called to the Bar in 2012. Previously, Talitha worked as a litigator including as a Lawyer then Senior Associate at Allens Linklaters as well as Legal Counsel at Westpac Banking Corporation.

She accepts briefs to appear and advise in all Australian jurisdictions. As well as led appearances in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Supreme Court of Victoria and the Supreme Court of Western Australia, Talitha has appeared unled in many jurisdictions including the Federal Court of Australia, the Supreme Court of New South Wales, the Family Court of Australia, the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, the District Court (Sydney) and several Local Courts.

In addition to her legal practice, Talitha regularly presents legal seminars on a variety of subjects and lectures undergraduate law (practice and procedure, evidence, equity) as well as assisting with university mooting competitions.

Talitha is involved in many activities of the NSW Bar Association including being on the editorial committee of Bar News, a committee member of the Women Barristers Forum and a chorister in the NSW Bar Choir.
