Speaker:    David Grinston, Grinston Lawyers

David is a now sole practitioner who focuses on a range of contracts for small to medium sized business people. For 15 years he was the first inhouse counsel and later on retainer for Epson Australia, during which he developed an interest in the Australian Consumer Law and was often asked to give his opinion on their product performance advertising and the potential impact of the Competition and Consumer Act on their product distribution and licence agreements.

David has also presented contract and corporate law topics to students in business and finance courses at UTS and the Securities Institute. He has been a tutor in PLT commercial law programmes at the ANU, UTS and College of Law and recently prepared a component for the online PLT commercial law course offered for the first time this year by UNSW. He also teaches ESL part time.

His approach - to keep his explanations clear and simple!
